ENGLISH LEARNING PROGRAM

Students will be tested upon arrival at PMA, and ELL support will be adjusted as necessary, according to test results.

Grade 8
TOEFL 30-34 or IELTS 4-4.5
These students may have up to 35% of class time as ELL classes, until better English Proficiency is achieved.

Grade 9 and 10
TOEFL 35-45 or IELTS 5.0
These students may have up to 35% of class time as ELL classes, until better English Proficiency is achieved.

Grades 11 and 12 
TOEFL 79-93 or IELTS 6.5 or better. No Grade 11 admission without at least these scores.

ELL classes will be provided on timetable for students not yet ready to take regular English, History, or Science classes.
